Ann Pressly Trial, Day 5

This dispatch came from David in Tennessee at 11:47 p.m., Friday night, so it prepares us for tomorrow’s courtroom events.

Nicholas,

The jury for the trial of Curtis Vance in the murder of Anne Pressly has 6 men and 6 women. Broken down, the panel has 4 black women, 6 white men, and 2 white women. I once read that in most trials half of the jurors are what the prosecution wants and the other half are wanted by the defense. This seems to the case in this trial.

Arkansas does not allow cameras in the courtroom. The prosecution so far is presenting a methodical DNA case. Next, they will play 3 taped police interviews with the defendant. The prosecution's complete case is still to be heard.

The public defenders representing Vance are saying it was a "rush to judgment" to find the killer of a popular celebrity.

Best,
David

Thank you, David.
