15 Shootings Friday; Deadly Night in Detroit: MyFoxDETROIT.com
DETROIT, Mich. (WJBK) - In the midst of efforts to fight violence in Detroit, police responded to at least 15 shootings Friday night. Six of those shootings were deadly. In one incident, a 14-year-old girl was shot and killed. Mayor Dave Bing says, "Reducing violent crime is our number one priority."
According to Detroit police there were a total of nine (9) shooting scenes where fifteen (15) people were shot….
N.S.: Note that Detroit’s casualties were the statistical equivalent of approximately 172 people being shot, and 69 killed in one night in New York.
