Re-posted by Nicholas Stix

I’ve watched this clip four times in the last hour, and each time it gave me a broad smile, and chills from my ankles to the base of my skull. Of course, I’ve seen the picture at least twice in the past four years, and like every patriotic American over the age of 15, I know the story of the Siege of Bastogne by heart. But it never gets old for me.

This is on my shortlist for the greatest fadeouts.
